The No.12 women’s soccer team was upset by No. 19 ranked Missouri Valley 1-0 on Saturday. This loss marks the second conference loss for the Wildcats who now sit 6-2 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference standings and 12-3-0 overall.

This loss ends Baker’s recent winning streak of three games. The single goal scored in this game came in the 76th minute from Missouri Valleys Madison Abbott.

The Wildcats struggled offensively, putting up six total shots with only one of them being on goal. Junior Krista Hooper led the attack with a team-high three shots.

Missouri Valley kept the pressure on Baker throughout the game with 12 shots and four of them on frame. Sophomore goalkeeper Rachel Hunt made three saves before letting one slip by. This was only the 10th goal allowed by Baker this year.

Baker now sits in third place in the Heart with two matches to go. Baker will take on first-place MidAmerica Nazarene University on Wednesday, Oct. 28, in Olathe, Kansas.
