The Baker Orange staff encourages its readers to make comments. We welcome comments that enhance the story, promote intellectual discourse about the topic of the article or provide feedback to the writer, critical or supportive. We reserve the right to delete comments that we find inappropriate. We may delete comments that veer off topic or contain hate speech. We do not allow any ad hominem comments. Racial epithets, personal attacks and abusive insults are prohibited. We promote academic argument but will delete comments that develop into flame wars or insult matches.
If a reader highlights a grammatical mistake or factual error, we will leave the comment on until the correction has been made. However, once the error has been corrected, the comment will no longer be relevant and will thus be deleted.
We treasure the rights given to us by the First Amendment. We will not pre-moderate comments in the hope that our readership will honor these guidelines.
