The spring season for the Baker University golf teams began at the Graceland Invitational at Mozingo Lake Golf Course in Maryville, Missouri, on March 25-26. Out of the 14 men’s teams, Baker placed 11th, and out of the seven women’s teams, Baker tied for second.
With the addition of William Penn University and Grand View University to the Heart conference, Baker’s golf teams have stronger competition heading into the spring 2016 schedule.

The Baldwin City Sands won’t attract the most avid golfers, and the tee-sheet usually won’t fill up, even on a sunny Saturday morning in the middle of summer. The course is, however, unusual, and many golfers in the community cherish it.
The men’s golf team hosted the 2015 Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Golf Championship May 4-5 at Alvamar Golf Course in Lawrence and took fifth place out of seven teams to end the year. Culver-Stockton College took first place overall.

The men’s golf team will host the conference tournament at its home course of Alvamar Golf Course in Lawrence May 4-5. After finishing fifth in the Baker University Spring Invite on the same course, the Wildcats and look to take the conference tournament title like their female counterparts.

The women’s golf team started the postseason with a 33-stroke win for its third consecutive Heart of America Athletic Conference championship on April 28 at Indian Foothills Golf Course in Marshall, Missouri. Junior Lindsey Mateer led the way for the women’s team’s championship by shooting consecutive rounds of 78 a for a two-day total of 156.
