After a split with Missouri Valley on Aprill 22, sophomore Olivia Brees walked away with a new school record for strikeouts in a season with 239, a number that has since increased to 272, putting Brees at the top of the Heart standings for strikeouts.
The Baker softball team has fallen below .500 after being swept by Central Methodist University in a Tuesday doubleheader. The Wildcats now sit at 23-24 with four games left in the regular season.
Over the extended weekend, Baker faced three different Heart opponents, sweeping both Peru State and Graceland before splitting with Central Methodist.
Baker softball and baseball student-athletes are seeing the impact of a rainy spring season as games begin to pile up due to rescheduling because of weather conditions.
