With a new head coach and several new players, the Wildcats look to turn the 2016 season into a success by advancing further into the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship.
The Baker University Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Matt Windle as the new head volleyball coach after longtime coach Kathy Allen’s retirement.

After 18 seasons as the head coach of the Baker volleyball team, Kathy Allen has announced her retirement. Allen’s 386 wins makes her Baker’s winningest coach.

The Baker volleyball fell to Culver-Stockton and Ottawa in a home doubleheader on Oct. 24. The Wildcats are now 13-15 overall and 4-5 in conference play.
The volleyball team split a pair of weeknight matches with its win coming on Sept. 13 against William Penn in Oskaloosa, Iowa. The Wildcats’ loss came Sept. 15 against No. 9 Evangel at home. The Wildcats now sit at 8-7 on the year and 1-2 in the Heart.

The Baker University volleyball team hosted four teams in the Baker Invitational Sept. 11-12, but lost all four macthes. The women have now lost five consecutive matches
Baker University sophomore and two-time All-HAAC volleyball player Hannah Bettge traveled to Colorado Springs on Thursday for USA Volleyball’s open tryout. She will be one of around 200 women competing for a spot on the team.
