The Baker women’s basketball team lost six players last season but has re-tooled in the form of five transfer students.

Emily Gibson from Washburn, Cameron Roland from Kansas City Kansas Community College, JaNeil Robinson and Courtney Goodrum from Cowley County Community College and Brittany Hines from Hutchinson Community College will look to contribute to the Wildcats in the 2009-2010 season. All five are juniors this year.

Head coach Susan Decker said it’s still very early, but the newcomers are fitting in and adjusting well, and the fact that the players already have college playing experience and maturity has been good for the team.

"We needed that coming into this year just because we lost so many seniors and need some experience, hopefully that those kids will bring, to practice and to game situations," Decker said.<br/>
