It seems there is no slowing down the Baker University volleyball team in Collins Center.

The Wildcats kept their perfect home record alive Saturday, sweeping Waldorf College 25-16, 25-7 and 25-18.

BU’s defense was on display as the team posted 38 digs and 13 blocks. The Cats’ kept Waldorf in check, as the Warriors only recorded 21 kills and had a -.051 hitting percentage. Sophomore middle hitter Danielle French held down the front row with seven assisted blocks. Senior libero Renata Dill dominated the back row with 12 digs.

On offense, seniors Jasmyn Turner and Crystal Simon both led Baker with eight kills. As a team, the Wildcats had 34 kills and a .333 hitting percentage.

“I remind the girls to stay calm, focused and relaxed,” head coach Kathy Allen said. “They have been an amazing group of girls to coach and everybody can put the ball away, and I’m really proud of each and every one of them.”

The Wildcats will be on the road at 7 p.m. on Tuesday as they take on Peru State College in Peru, Neb.
