The Baker University men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams brought home the Heart of America Athletic Conference titles for the fourth and third consecutive season, respectively.
The Wildcats traveled to Atchison on Thursday to compete for the conference championship at Benedictine College.
The women’s squad dominated the competition, taking first place by 198 points. They finished with a total of 350 points, while the men scored 206 points to earn the top spot. Culver-Stockton came in second place, finishing just 23 points behind the men. The Benedictine Ravens took second on the women’s side.
Senior Stephanie Nelson was named the HAAC Most Valuable Player on the women’s side after finishing first in three different events. Baker had a total of 18 individual first-place finishes throughout the meet.
