With a new coach this year, the Baker Wildcats’ spirit squad hopes to be more spirited and active than ever.
The new coach is Jeremy Webb, former member of the Baker spirit squad. He attended Baker from 2004-2008 and was the assistant coach of the spirit squad for two years following graduation.
Another change to the spirit squad is that more members have joined than have in the past. Webb hopes with more members, the spirit squad will be able to be at more events.
“With a larger team, we hope to be able to make more appearances at a variety of events, such as volleyball and soccer, along with the usual football and basketball games,” he said.
Webb is confident in the team and hopes it will make its way to Daytona Beach, Fla., in April for nationals.
