The Student Activities Council will host Grocery Bingo night at 9 p.m. on April 19 in Mabee Gym.

Director of Student Life Randy Flowers said that SAC has been holding the event every semester for a couple of years now with huge success. The event draws in a good crowd, mostly because of its opportunity to win free food and drinks.

Twenty winners will receive a grocery bag full of various food items that will include chips, soda, snacks and granola bars among various other items, through 10 rounds of games. The final round of the event is a blackout round, in which even the first nine winners can claim the prize.

Senior Avery Vogts, who lives in the Horn and Markham Apartments where she is not on a meal plan, is excited for the event, and hopes she can stock her fridge at the end of the night.

“I definitely want to be involved in that,” Vogts said. “Free food is wonderful.”
