The Baker University men and women’s tennis teams continue to battle through a tough season.
Both teams played Graceland University Saturday in Baldwin City, but couldn’t come away with any wins.
“Graceland’s men are ranked No. 10 in the country, so we expected tough matches, and that’s what we got,” head coach Joe Ahmadian said.
On Tuesday, BU traveled to Emporia State University for another round of tough matches. Sophomore Danielle Griggs and junior Brie Lowrey almost came away with an upset over the No. 2 doubles team from ESU.
“They tried a lot of different strategies and really affected their opponents, who are really talented players,” Ahmadian said.
Senior Stephen Donly also played well, coming back from a 6-0 first set loss to win the second set and take the third to a tiebreak.
