The Baker women’s soccer team won their fourth conference game of the year with a 2-1 victory over Central Methodist University Oct. 12.
Haley Oborny and Christine Janssens scored the two Baker goals, as the Wildcats outshot CMU 15-5. Baker had three shots hit off the crossbar, and Central Methodist’s goal came with 90 seconds left in the game.
The Wildcats went 1-0-1 in a pair of home games in the last week as they beat Avila 5-0 on October 10th, and tied McKendree 3-3 on October 7th.
“We did what we needed to against McKendree but played well, came out intense, and played hard against Avila,” said coach Nate Houser.
Baker faces Benedictine on Friday at 5:30 at Liston Stadium.
