Coming off a 3-0 loss to Park University on Oct. 12, the Baker men’s soccer team was looking to re-work its game for Saturday’s match against Missouri Valley College at Liston Stadium.
After conceding the first goal of the match on a Missouri Valley free kick, the ‘Cats rallied back with sophomore Laeth Hamil scoring on a rebounded penalty kick taken by sophomore midfielder Nick Aguilar.
“It was pretty important to get a goal back so we had the momentum going our way,” Hamil said. “Everyone gave great effort.”
Sophomores Nate Byarlay and Ethan Bauer would also contribute goals in the match. Bauer entered the match in the 81st minute of play and sealed the game at 3-2 in favor of the Wildcats after a shot went into the top, right corner of the net from about 35 yards out.
The Wildcats will host Lindenwood University at 8 p.m. Saturday at Liston Stadium.
