University President Pat Long spoke to members of the Baker University Student Senate Tuesday night about Baker’s financial state.
Long announced to the senators that members of the university administration felt Baker was on the right track financially.
Long talked about the updates being made to Denious Hall, which are being made thanks to a gift from 1946 Baker graduate Janice von Riesen and her husband David.
Long also announced the university administration is looking to add faculty jobs for the next academic year and to replace Ryan Beasley, associate professor of political science.
“I’ve spoken to the political science students, and I have promised them that we will finish that major and that the students will have a quality instructor,” she said.
