Two undergraduate education students will be honored in November for their achievements during a ceremony sponsored by the Kansas State Department of Education.
Seniors Jamie Lawrenz and Erin Oliver will be recognized as Teachers of Promise on Nov. 22 in Wichita.
Lawrenz and Oliver were selected by Baker’s education department because they have done well in their undergraduate work and in their student teacher positions, Assistant Professor of Education Merrie Skaggs said
The education department selects one student majoring in elementary education and one student majoring in secondary education for this honor
Lawrenz is an elementary education major. Oliver is a secondary education and math major
“This is a very nice honor for both of these girls,” Skaggs said.
