Baker University has entered an agreement with the Madl family to purchase The Lodge Motel located at 502 Ames St in Baldwin City, Kan. Baker has plans to renovate The Lodge Motel into student housing and is set to have students move in for the fall semester.

Three new minors have been proposed for the fall semester. Director of Library Services Melanie Massey is leading Library Information Science. Professor Myra Holt is leading photography. The Wellness minor is led by the Department Chair of Applied Health Sciences Dr. Erin Holt.
