Sororities at Baker University continue informal recruitment to increase opportunities for unaffiliated members of the campus to join one of the chapters at Baker.
“Recruitment lasts 365 days a year,” Director of Student Life Brett Bruner said. “Most people are aware of formal recruitment in the fall, but you can find out about the sororities any time.”
Bruner said each sorority hosts various events throughout the year to try to get people interested. Each sorority has its own approach to the process.
"We try to host events to bring in as many girls to our sisterhood as possible," senior Amanda Wahlmeier, member of Phi Mu sorority, said.<br/>Wahlmeier said this month's Phi Mu events include hosting a game night and a movie marathon.Wahlmeier said this month's Phi Mu events include hosting a game night and a movie marathon. Bruner said individuals interested in joining a chapter may either contact a chapter of interest or they can contact him so he can give the sororities their contact information for upcoming events.
