Just over seven months after Baker University hired one of its own, Theresa Yetmar, to be its athletic director, it hired another Baker graduate, Andrew Patch, to be its assistant athletic director.
“I immediately oversee all game operations and our financial affairs, so my title is Assistant Athletic Director for Events and Finance,” Patch said. “For all of (Baker’s) home competitions, I will have a hand in making sure those are run correctly.”
Patch graduated from BU in 2009 and played football as a student at Baker. His experience as a student-athlete has helped him in his first few weeks of work.
“I think that the fact that I was a student-athlete at Baker pays dividends in this new role as assistant athletic director,” Patch said. “I understand the environment of this institution.”
He officially began his job duties Aug. 1.
