The Baker University Lifeless Language Association will be hosting a Circus Maximus event Saturday in the Collins Center parking lot.
The events will begin with a chariot race using Radio Flyer wagons at 1 p.m. Other events include a foot race at 2 p.m. and a gladitorial fight at 3 p.m. Teams of four are needed for the chariot and foot races.
At 5 p.m., the events will move to Harter Union Cafeteria, where a toga fashion show will be held. Those wanting to participate should bring their own togas.
The entrance fee for all events is one item of canned or non-perishable food. The donations will go to the Baldwin City food pantry. To pre-enter the Circus Maximus, contact sophomore Kim Kilmartin at 594-6611 or sophomore Megan Millard at ext. 680. Walk-ins are also welcome.
The final event of the day will be a showing of the movie “Life of Brian” at 8 p.m. Popcorn will be provided.
