Miller suspended for first half of Homecoming game

Starting safety Colton Miller will be suspended for the first half of the Homecoming game against Graceland University Saturday at Liston Stadium.

University President Pat Long confirmed Miller’s suspension. Miller was in violation of the NAIA Champions of Character program, which Baker is a member of, and has been charged with misdemeanor battery and was given a citation to appear in municipal court. The charge and citation is in regards to an incident between Miller and a member of the Ottawa football team, Jame Moran.

The hearing will take place at 9 a.m. Nov. 2 at the Baldwin City Public Library.
