The Baker University women’s bowling team finished 22nd at the Leatherneck Classic in Moline, Ill., Dec. 4 and 5.
After the first day of the tournament, the Wildcats were in 24th place., before jumping two spots on the final day.
“As a team, we did really well and we worked really well together as a team,” sophomore Chloe Mercer said.
While the team has some time off to prepare for finals and a break over the holidays, members of the team will still practice on their own.
“We are supposed to practice by ourselves so we can continue to improve and not, you know, just not go down in skill,” Mercer said.
The Wildcats have two tournaments remaining in the season, but is hoping to participate in at least one other tournament if funding allows.
“We’re looking forward to the next tournament so we can continue to improve and so we can show everybody that Baker University is a school that is ready to compete,” Mercer said.
