A Pampered Chef party for my bridal shower left my husband and I with a dish to spice up our life as newlyweds.
My maid of honor tried to think of things my husband, Sam, and I had in common that she could turn into a bridal shower that would be helpful to us in starting our home.
She decided on a Pampered Chef party where all of the guests had to bring a recipe.
Any time my husband and I have some time off we invite friends or family over to watch movies and snack on finger foods
For a recent movie night, we decided to try one of the recipes a guest from my shower had given to us. We wanted a recipe that was super spicy and would look good on a plate. We chose what were called Hot Kisses which are made of jalapeños, shrimp and bacon.
We made enough of the Hot Kisses for each guest to have four, which was about right. The recipe is great for people who love spicy foods that get you grabbing for water, but if you or your guests do not like spicy food or are allergic or do not like shell fish, this recipe is not for you. If the recipe does sound good but jalapeños do not appeal to you, then the recipe can be toned down by using green peppers instead.
Even though we only made enough for each person to have four the night of our party, it would not take much longer to make enough for a very large party.
My husband and I have made the Hot Kisses since then for just the two of us. Either way, it did not take more than 10 or 15 minutes to make them.
No matter how you make the recipe, they add great color to a plate and a nice spice to any meal you are making.<br/>&#160;
