The Baker University volleyball team ended the regular season with a sweep of Avila University 25-14, 25-21 and 25-15 Tuesday in Collins Center.

The win against Avila came on Senior Night for Baker, as seniors Kendra Stephens and Brooke Pryor were honored after the second set of the match. BU finished the regular season with a record of 22-13 overall and 6-4 in the HAAC.

Baker will face William Jewell College in the first round of the HAAC Tournament at 7 p.m. Saturday in Liberty, Mo.

The Wildcats hope playing a stronger schedule will pay off and will help them make a run at a conference championship.

“These guys are brimming with confidence right now,” head coach Kathy Allen said. “I really and truly believe that no matter who we end up playing, that we are going to advance to the semifinals.”
