Strong winds didn’t keep the Baker University men’s golf team from finishing seventh out of 16 teams in its second tournament of the season Saturday and Sunday.

BU competed in Hesston Saturday, and then near Newton Sunday.

“I knew there would be solid golf teams from outside our region at this tournament and I wanted to give my guys the chance to play people we don’t normally see,” head coach Karen Exon said.

Senior Adam Taylor finished fourth out of more than 90 players individually at the tournament and was followed by sophomore Jacob Draisey and juniors Eric Reimer and Michael Wissmann.

Exon expects the team’s overall performance to improve now that the weather will allow more outside practice.
