For the Baker University bowling team, this season has been a long, yet rewarding road.
On March 12 and 13, head coach Cheryl Keslar and eight members of the team journeyed to Dallas, where the Wildcats finished ninth out of 12 teams competing in the region from a national pool of 64.
Keslar said freshman Emily Buhler and sophomore Brittany Barker both bowled their best games of the season, and sophomore Caitlin Campbell also had a strong outing in both competitions.
“I can’t speak for how they bowled last year, but what I try to instill is basic fundamentals,” Keslar said.
Keslar credited the team’s season to this approach, as well as a commitment made by the team after the winter break to compete in each tournament.
