It’s Friday and spring break officially is here. Midterms are over, and it’s time to relax and eat some grub with old friends.
Spring is my favorite time. I look forward every year to little outdoor get-togethers with friends and family.
I never have any trouble finding something to throw on the grill, but it seems like I am always scurrying to find some little munchies to go along with the food while people are just hanging out waiting.
Any time I have people over, I love having food for grazing, and this spring I am all about the cheese ball.
I found the recipe for my cheese ball in a Weight Watchers cookbook and decided to give it a try.
It never hurts to try something that tastes bad, but has a healthy kick to it.It never hurts to try something that tastes bad, but has a healthy kick to it. First of all, the recipe makes so much food.
The ball came out about five inches in diameter compared to the four inches the recipe said it makes.
We had six people over, in addition to my husband and I, and with all of us munching on it throughout the night, we still didn't finish it.We had six people over, in addition to my husband and I, and with all of us munching on it throughout the night, we still didn't finish it. The ball is quick, easy and has some healthy alternatives to the regular cheese balls from the store.
It uses reduced fat everything and has a dried vegetable soup mix in it, so I was really nervous it wouldn’t taste up to par, but we all left satisfied.
The only problem is that you have to plan the snack the night before so it can set up, but it definitely is a worthwhile treat that I would make for any party.
