The Baker women’s basketball team’s season came to an end Saturday in Liberty, Mo., with a 73-59 loss to William Jewell College in the semifinals of the HAAC Tournament.
William Jewell went on to win the tournament with a 67-60 overtime victory over Evangel University Tuesday.
Baker, 13-7 in the conference and 18-14 overall, defeated Avila University 61-50 March 4 in Collins Center in the first round of the HAAC Tournament before falling to William Jewell.
The Wildcats are losing one senior, Tayler Stacks, but will return everyone else with the hopes of making another run next season.
"It's obviously disappointing for Tayler, being her last game, but there's a lot to look forward to with this group," head coach Susan Decker said. "The nucleus of our team is coming back, we'll add a few kids coming in for next year, but really I think we have a chance to really make a run again next year."<br/>&#160;
