The Baker University cross country team is back and ready to start a new season.
The team has five new runners: two new men’s runners and three new women’s runners.
The season began the week of Aug. 15 with multiple practices a day, team meals at the cafeteria and a camping trip to Clinton Lake.<br/>
“We have set very big goals for ourselves this season and are expecting great things,” junior Taylor Nall said.
The annual trip to Clinton Lake is the best chance for the team to bond. This year, the team participated in multiple bonding activities during the trip including a scavenger hunt and a game of soccer.
Despite the trip success during the day, a thunderstorm with severe wind gusts hit the campsite that night, and the team had to leave after its tents blew over. One tent had to be cut open to get the runners out after it blew over while they were still in it.
“Clinton Lake was a lot of fun, and we came together as a team, but it was unfortunate that it had to be cut short,” Nall said
