The National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators announced June 1 that Baker University Director of Athletics Theresa Yetmar was named 2011 Administrator of the Year for the NAIA/NCJAA category.
Yetmar, who took over as Baker’s Director of Athletics Jan. 1., said the award she speaks well of the teams and coaches at the university.
“I am so appreciative of the recognition for Baker University because I think it shows that we have a great group of coaches and student athletes that gartered enough recognition that someone recognized my leadership of our department,” Yetmar said.
The criteria for the winner of the award included demonstrating a commitment to the welfare of the student-athletes, and being committed to promoting excellence in intercollegiate athletics. The winner also had to be a member of the NACWAA.
Yetmar will be presented the award at the NACWAA National Convention in October in Pittsburgh, Pa.
