Although Baldwin City is a small college town, students may underestimate what it has to offer in terms of entertainment.

Students, faculty and staff were notified Wednesday that head men's and women's cross country and track coach Rob Mallinder will not be returning for his ninth year at Baker University. Mallinder said he plans to return to either New Zealand or Australia before his work-authorization visa expires in October 2007.

C.P., who always proclaimed the "Power is yours!" came to international attention in the early '90s when Gaia was wrestled from a centuries-long rest by widespread pollution and what was being termed the "greenhouse effect.

Former BU athletes honored

The Baker University Athletic Hall of Fame will be expanding with the induction of four former standout athletes Saturday during the homecoming football game. The inductees include Roy Braley, class of 1950, who participated in football and baseball; Roy Doleshal, class of 1951, who participated in baseball and golf; Rick Quattrini, class of 1975, who participated in football; and Dawn Henderson Grosdidier, class of 1991, a participant in basketball, track, and cross country.
