Baker University has turned to a recent alumnus to lead the tennis program. Keith Pipkin, who graduated from Baker in 2011, is the new coach for both the men’s and women’s tennis teams.

The men and women’s tennis teams spent the weekend in Belleville, Illinois, and St. Louis, Missouri, for matches April 15-16. The women’s team won three out of the four matches, while the men collected two wins.
Both the men’s and women’s tennis teams swept Hesston College Saturday, marking 11 straight victories for the men, while the women bounced back from two close losses to Kansas Wesleyan and Tabor.
The Baker men’s and women’s tennis teams are entering the spring season with feats foreign to Baker tennis history. Both teams have received votes to be in the top 25 teams in the nation.
The Baker University men’s and women’s tennis teams returned to Baldwin City March 28 after sweeping Southwestern College in Grain Valley, Missouri. The men’s team won with a score of 8-1 while the women’s team won 5-4.
The men’s tennis team split two matches against William Jewel and Nebraska Wesleyan on Feb. 21 in Lincoln, Nebraska. The team was supposed to face off against Ottawa University on Feb. 28 in Baldwin City, but it was cancelled due to bad weather.
