With the arrival of the spring season, many Baker University students are looking forward to sunny weather, spending more time outside and the approach of the end of the semester.
But the end of the spring semester isn’t the only thing students are counting down the days until. Some students are awaiting Student Activities Council’s annual Springfest, which will take place Monday through Friday.
Springfest is a week filled with events dedicated to fun activities for students before the semester comes to an end in May. Activities for the action-packed week include two comedians, a movie on the lawn, a slam poet and a mentalist. This year’s movie on the lawn will be “Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows.”
To encourage student participation, SAC will have a give away at the end of the week.
“There is a give away of an iPad or a bicycle, so if students show up for four out of the five events, they will be entered to win those prizes,” Randy Flowers, graduate assistant for student activities, said.
All Springfest events begin at 9 p.m. and will be held on Baker’s campus. Admission is free for all students and those wishing to attend.
