I went through an application process early in the fall.

Pretty much I oversee two student coordinators, which oversee the orientation teams as a whole. So, as a group, we interview and select the orientation leaders and we work to plan trainings for them and also the actual events for the summer orientation and Wildcat Welcome.

Yeah, I do. I’m a Salon Student Leader. I’m also on Student Senate. I’m the junior class vice president. And I’m president of Earth We Are.

I think I did mainly because I had seen how the orientation leaders that I dealt with as a freshman influenced me and really helped me out, so I wanted to do the same thing for new students.

I think my favorite part is actually with the orientation leaders itself is seeing the orientation leaders grow throughout the summer or Wildcat Welcome, like, as a leader and just as a person.

We’re actually piloting an overnight program. So, students will come on a … Thursday afternoon and then stay the night on campus. They’ll do all the same things that we do at a one-day program, just spread out and they stay the night.
