“I think it’s a reflection of the work ethic and dedication of our coaches and student athletes,” Athletic Director Theresa Yetmar said. “That, coupled with the support we receive from our administration, alumni and fans helps us make all of these postseason runs we’ve had.”
The Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup was developed and is sponsored by both the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. The rankings are based off postseason competition from six men’s and six women’s sports. The complete scoring structure can be found on NACDA’s website.
The midseason standings, while unofficial, are encouraging for the Wildcat competitors. Official rankings will be released May 31.
