Baker University student radio station KNBU-FM will host a free music concert, Baldwin City Breakdown: Round Two, at 7 p.m. Friday in Mabee Gym.
The concert will include three performances. Freshman Greg Bradford will perform with his band Flight. Dubulaye, a performer from Atchison, will rap. Another group of Baker University students, The Uninvited Guests, consists of Jordan Honore, Shawn Wright and Terren Craddock-Moore.
Any student or outside guest attending the concert can vote for a favorite performer by bringing a canned good. The performer with the most canned goods brought for them will be named the winner of the Baldwin City Breakdown and all proceeds will go to the Baldwin City Food Pantry.
“We have done a concert like this in the past and actually won an award for it,” KNBU-FM Station Manager Brad Barnes said. “So, we decided to bring it back, continue on another year, to help spread the word about the radio station and to help raise funds for the Baldwin City Food Pantry.”
The winner will receive $100, courtesy of Moni’s Seafood and Barbecue.
“I really am looking forward to a big turnout for the concert and with having different genres than last time, I think we will have some great performances,” Barnes said.
