The No. 13 Baker University football team will try to bounce back from its first loss of the season when it plays No. 11 MidAmerica Nazarene University at 6 p.m. Saturday in Olathe.
While the matchup will be slated as a home game for MNU, it will not be played at Pioneer Stadium.
According to MidAmerica Nazarene University’s website, the Pioneers elected not to play any of their home games at the stadium because the 30-year-old bleachers were deemed to be unsafe.
The Wildcats and Pioneers will instead play at the Olathe District Activity Center, which is located at 20925 W. 159th St.
The only game the Pioneers have played so far this season at ODAC was a 41-7 loss to Missouri Valley College Sept. 8. Baker’s sole loss of the season was also to the Vikings, when MVC defeated the Wildcats 31-17 Sept. 22 at Liston Stadium.
BU will attempt to snap its 13-game losing streak to the Pioneers, which dates back to 1999. Four of the last five games between the two teams have been decided by eight points or less.
