Yes, I did a chapel sermon on the topic two to three times over the years. The sermon that I gave last Thursday was a version of the sermon I gave about three years ago (here at Baker).

Oh sure, yeah. That’s exactly what I do during chapel, so everything that I say is how I interpret the scriptures.

Because it’s a national issue. People are seeing it in the media, there’s more television shows that have homosexuality presented in characters. It is certainly a religious issue, and I also think the reason it’s been an issue for a lot of the people is because things about sex and sexuality sell.

Lots of times when I’m giving speeches, it’s during chapel, and a lot of times I do messages that are a response to questions. This Thursday, I will be doing part one of a two-part sermon on a Christian’s response to alcohol. Last year’s number one topic of inquiry was the whole issue of forgiveness.

I have been here for 20 years, and I have been in the ministry for 41. I’ve served local churches, in Kansas City, in small towns south of Ottawa. I’ve been to Overland Park, Olathe, and Kansas City. This past Sunday I was guest speaker at a church up in Overland Park, next Sunday I’ll be up at a church in Lake Quiviera.

I love the cooler temperatures. I love football, I love being outside when the leaves are falling and I love Maple Leaf Festival. Everyone comes out in the fall. It’s not too hot like it is in the summertime, the weather is just perfect.
