The student online resource Moodle will be transitioning to an updated version to provide a newer, more flexible and feature-filled website.
The new version of Moodle will offer tools such as Mahara, an e-portfolio system, and Panopto, a lecture capture software. More improvements will include drag-and-drop features and improved navigation, along with single sign-on for both students and faculty through the Baker Portal. There will also be improved gradebooks and reporting features and automatic grade entry from Moodle to CampusVue.
This change to the updated version will take place Dec. 26-28. The decision of when to make the change was so the least amount of disruption would happen for students at all Baker campuses.
There will be training and orientation offered for those students and faculty who are interested. A schedule for those sessions will be out soon.
