On Friday, Baker University will not only play host to a number of prospective students for BU Preview but also showcase the Found Footage Festival.
The two founders of the Found Footage Festival are self-claimed “Champions of VHS” and showcase their skills through a compilation of “strange, outrageous, and profoundly stupid videos,” according to their website, foundfootagefest.com.
“This is something completely different than what we’ve brought to Baker before,” Katy Westhoff, entertainment coordinator of Student Activities Council, said. “It’s basically two guys showing other people’s work but putting their own spin on it.”
While the categories of video clips range from “Babes & Hunks” to “Old Folks,” the Found Footage Festival presents a humorous, yet innocent source of enjoyment.
“With BU Preview there’s certain parameters that are put into place because we’re also working with high school students,” Randy Flowers, assistant director of student life, said. “So this is a cleaner show and one that should be enjoyed by everyone.”
Students can see the Found Footage Festival at 9 p.m. Friday in Allen Dining Room.
