Women’s soccer searches for consistency

The Baker women’s soccer team held the 24th-ranked Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes in a 0-0 tie at Liston Stadium on Saturday.

Baker took seven shots during the game while KWU took eight, and despite their 15 attempts, neither team was able break the deadlock in 110 minutes of play.

Head coach Nate Houser said he looks for consistency every time the team shows up on the field.

“They’ve shown that they can show up for the big fight,” Houser said. “I think they have a lot of character and they have been prepared to play big games so far, but they have to be prepared emotionally day-in and day-out.”

The tie is Baker’s second of the year, resulting in a record of 4-3-2 on the season.

The Wildcats will hit the road to Ottawa at 5 p.m. Tuesday to take on the Braves.
