Throughout her four years at Baker University, senior Lauren Jaqua has made her mark on both the cross country and track teams. Over the years, she has won multiple events, been named an All-American and much more. Her current successes include:

  • All-American in the 3,000 meter-run at the 2013 NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships
  • Five-time Heart of America Athletic Conference Runner of the Week
  • Two-time HAAC cross country champion
  • School record in the 5,000-meter run in cross country
  • School record in the 4,000-meter run in cross country
  • HAAC mile champion at the 2013 indoor championships
  • HAAC 3,000-meter run champion at the 2013 indoor championships
  • Three-time Maple Leaf Invitational champion
  • Second fastest indoor 3,000-meter time at BU
  • Third fastest outdoor 1,500-meter run time at BU
  • Fourth fastest outdoor 4×800 time at BU
  • Fourth fastest outdoor 5,000-meter run time at BU
  • Fifth fastest indoor mile time at BU

Jaqua has been running competitively for eight years and is accustomed to being a leader on any athletic team.<br/>

“I really enjoy pushing myself to the limit,” Jaqua said. “So being a leader, being front-runner, is definitely a goal or a priority of mine that I wanted to attain.”

Jaqua’s most recent award was earning her second HAAC runner of the week award for 2013 after winning the Emporia State Invitational with a time of 19:08.
