Nine teams faced off in the second annual dodgeball tournament at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Collins Center.
“We wanted to make this a tradition,” sophomore Danae Presler said. “It’s something anybody can go to and watch.”
Presler said the previous sophomore class held a dodgeball tournament last year for the class activity. The high school Presler attended also held a similar tradition, which she wanted to bring to Baker University.
“It is just for entertainment,” Presler said.
The winning team, Children of the Corn, consisted of freshmen Travis Miller, Chad Forrer, Luke Harshfield, Mason Dick; sophomores Laura Caby, Katie James, Danae Presler, Brie Lowrey, Erika Munker, Layne Anderson, Drew Richter; and seniors Taylor Bonar and Keith Pipkin. Caby was named MVP of the game. The winners received T-shirts, a pizza party and root beer floats.
