The Baker men’s basketball team held solid through the first half, but couldn’t keep up the pace and in the end fell to Evangel University 64-53 Saturday.
“We played more as a team and it seemed like most of our team was hitting shots and doing what needed to be done to possibly get a win,” senior Malcolm Greer said. “But in the end we just came up short.”
The Wildcats faced Avila University Thursday in Collins Center, but results were not available at presstime.
Baker will go head-to-head with Culver-Stockton College 4 p.m. Saturday in Canton, Mo. The men’s team lost to the Culver-Stockton Wildcats earlier this season, but is hoping for a better outcome this time around.
"Our main goal is going to be defending their leading scorer a lot better and we also want to control the tempo of the game," Greer said. <br/>&#160;
