College Kitchen: Butterscotch Snickerdoodle Bars
What you need:
- Butterscotch Chips
- Snickerdoodle Cookie Mix
- Vanilla Extract
- Apple Sauce Cup
- Baking Pan
- Non-stick cooking spray
- Paper Towels
Directions
- Heat the oven to 400 F.
- Make Snickerdoodle cookie mix, following the packaging directions, except replace the Vegetable oil with an apple sauce cup and add a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Whisk ingredients together until mix is well combined, without lumps.
- Add half of the package of butterscotch chips and mix until all chips are well distributed.
- Spray non-stick cooking spray onto the baking sheet and use a paper towel to spread the spray evenly.
- Evenly distribute batter into a thin layer in pan and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar packet from the snickerdoodle cookie mix across the top.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. To check the doneness, poke the bake with a fork – when it comes up clean, then it’s done.
