The Baker University women’s softball team swept Haskell Indian Nations University Tuesday in Lawrence.
In the first game, the Wildcats pulled ahead with a 6-3 victory. Freshman Heather Gruber helped win it for the Wildcats on the mound.
The second game turned out even better for the Wildcats. Junior Katie Worley helped capture the second game of the series with an inside-the-park home run when the team eight-run ruled Haskell in the fifth inning to win 8-0.
“I feel like we played a lot better then we did last week,” freshman Brittney Vollenweider said. “Our errors are down, and we are starting to string our hits together.”
The Wildcats will go on the road to play Culver-Stockton College Friday in Canton, Mo.<br/>&#160;
