The Baker University men’s golf team is beginning its spring season Thursday through Saturday with a three-day, 54-hole tournament at Evangel University against conference competition.
The team will take its top 10 golfers to the tournament and is hoping to see some benefits from weight lifting, swinging in the cages and playing rounds outside when weather has permitted this winter.
Head golf coach Karen Exon is counting on some leadership this season from seniors Zack Rockey, Jared Drummond and Gavin Tatrn, as well as some big contributions from junior Adam Taylor, sophomores Eric Reimer and Kevin Hostetter and freshman Mason Dick.
"We've got a good team," Exon said. "They've worked really hard between seasons. The team is young though, so the seniors will need to step up."<br/>&#160;
