The Baker University Athletic Hall of Fame will be expanding with the induction of four former standout athletes Saturday during the homecoming football game.
The inductees include Roy Braley, class of 1950, who participated in football and baseball; Roy Doleshal, class of 1951, who participated in baseball and golf; Rick Quattrini, class of 1975, who participated in football; and Dawn Henderson Grosdidier, class of 1991, a participant in basketball, track, and cross country.
Athletic Director Dan Harris said the committee that nominates members for induction into the hall of fame is always looking at athletes who have had great accomplishments and have contributed to Baker in some way throughout the years.
“I think what stands out to me is their personal Wildcat pride,” Harris said. “They have a lot of pride in their accomplishments, and you can see in the expressions on their faces when they come back they really do maintain that sense of pride and commitment.”
For sophomore baseball player Carl Kramer, the induction of accomplished athletes is an inspiration.
“It kind of motivates me to get better in my sport,” Kramer said.
The induction will be at halftime of the 2 p.m. football game at Liston Stadium.
