Baker University Football to allow spectators at home opener
After previously announcing that no spectators would be allowed to attend sporting events on campus, Baker University President Lynne Murray sent an email updating the protocol for upcoming sporting events, starting this weekend.
As the Baker University campus has managed to maintain and decrease the number of COVID-19 cases on campus, it has been decided that there will be a limited amount of people permitted to attend events at Liston Stadium this weekend.
Liston Stadium will be the host of three sporting events on Saturday, Sept. 26 starting with the kickoff of the Wildcat football season against Peru State College at 1 p.m. Women’s soccer will then play Grand View University at 5 p.m. followed by men’s soccer against Grand View University at 7 p.m.
There will be 240 tickets available for students, staff and faculty. Tickets will be available at a first come first serve basis with a Baker University ID presented. Upon entering the stadium, fans should expect to have their temperature taken, have social distancing guidelines enforced and must wear a mask throughout the entirety of the sporting event.
