Baker seniors will take the field for the last time during the regular season Saturday at Liston Stadium for the Wildcats’ football game against Central Methodist University.
The Wildcats are coming into the game riding a four-game winning streak, sit at 6-3 overall and are tied with Central Methodist University for fourth place in the HAAC.
“They’ve got an explosive offense, good skill position players, and on defense they’re very athletic,” head coach Mike Grossner said. “We’re kind of a pound-it-at-you team, so the matchups are intriguing.”
Baker had no trouble with the Eagles last season, winning 52-14 and compiling 614 yards of total offense. Quarterback Mack Brown had a historic day, setting the Baker record for passing yards in a game at 433.
Baker has an opportunity to finish the season winning seven of their last eight games with a win over the Eagles.
The Wildcats will go into the final weekend of the regular season back in the national rankings. Baker is ranked No. 24 in the country in the latest NAIA Top-25 Poll.<br/>&#160;
