Students will no longer have to make the trek to Lawrence in the wee hours of the morning to do some late-night studying.
No longer will students have to head out of town to do some bar-hopping.
No longer will students have to stay on campus to use their laptops because Wi-Fi isn’t found in many other places in town.
The new business across from the Kwik is bound to change all of these current practices Baker students have.
The Melange Apron is ready to cater to Baker students, who make up a majority of the town for nine out of the 12 months of the year.
The restaurant/bar/coffee bar/ice cream parlor is set to open Saturday and plans to offer late-night hours, Wi-Fi and Wii bowling tournaments.
There’s really no place in Lawrence where students can access all these things at once. And it’s safe to say that there has definitely never been any place like this in Baldwin City.
Not to mention, it will encourage students to boost the local economy by buying local rather than taking all their money to Lawrence.
It will also help boost some students’ wallets. The Melange Apron offers a lot of unique job opportunities that would appeal to any student wanting to make a couple extra bucks.
So the next time you want coffee, ice cream, food, or even Wi-Fi, there’s no need to look further than right down the road.
